Privacy notice for a Chrome extension
What the DX filler does with order details.
The PLS → DX Consignment Filler is a Chrome extension I built for Ply Lining Supplies. It copies a customer's delivery details from a Shopify order into DX's booking form, so their staff don't have to type them out again.
Last updated 26 October 2026
What it reads
The extension only runs on two pages: an order in Ply Lining Supplies' Shopify admin, and DX's consignment entry page.
On a Shopify order it reads the order number and the customer's name, delivery address, phone number and email address. It checks the page to know when the order has finished loading, and only keeps those details when someone clicks Send to DX.
Where it keeps them
The details are saved in Chrome on that computer, in the extension's own storage, ready to fill into DX's form. It keeps the last 10 orders sent, and staff can remove any of them with the ✕ next to the order.
While a booking is in progress, the DX tab also remembers which order is being booked. That goes when the tab is closed.
Who it shares them with
Nobody. The extension doesn't send anything to GSD Lab, to Shopify or to anyone else. The details only reach DX when a member of Ply Lining Supplies' staff has checked the form and pressed DX's own Save consignment button. The extension never presses it for them.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't track how it's used, and has no analytics.
- It doesn't change anything in Shopify.
- It doesn't sell or pass on anyone's details, and doesn't use them for anything other than filling in the DX booking.
If you're a Ply Lining Supplies customer
Your order details are used to book your delivery with DX. Ply Lining Supplies' privacy policy explains how they handle your order and your rights. You can also email [email protected] with a question about the extension itself.
Changes to this notice
If the way the extension handles information changes, I will update this page and the date above.
