J Hacking needed something simpler than generic trade software. GSD Lab built around one engineer, his phone and the way the business actually runs.
Customer details, property notes, messages, quotes and invoices all needed to stay connected. The system also had to be comfortable for someone who openly dislikes computers. That ruled out a complicated, desk-first setup.
The answer was a focused job system with a simple mobile day for James and a fuller admin desk behind it. Each piece earns its place by removing a real point of friction.
An enquiry becomes a customer, property and job without retyping the same details. Quotes can offer up to three complete options, ready for the customer to accept through a simple link. The accepted work moves into the booking queue.
On site, visits, access notes, appliances, service records and gas safety certificates live with the property. When work is complete, the same record flows into the invoice, payment link, paid status and future service reminder.

Automatic follow-through“Shaun has transformed the way I work. I'm organised, no more lost invoices, everything is efficient. I hate computers and tech, but everything is built around how I work and it's so simple to use.”
